Wet Lakes…..

wet wet wet wet wet

Sitting in the tent watching the darkness slowly descend. Cold wet and hungry. Nasty day today, I think every piece of kit is wet. Not much walking – only 4 hours. didn’t seem much point in trogging on for longer. Clouds are still low and it is still raining. Looking forward to slipping into my warm sleeping bag and dosing.

Camping just above Small Water (nr blea tarn). Decided this time to try a weekend without cars. Train to windermere, some beers and then a 3km walk up into the hills to last nights camping spot. Not ideal but quick to get to in the dark and rain.

things to remember-

towel for inside of tent
bowl with lid
2x pairs of gloves

Dark now. Just the noise of water and the smell of tea cooking.
